What can you do in La Palma?

Let's see...

Walking: Around the town you will find amazing La Palma crafts like small chests, jewelry boxes. These are my favourite, I think you can never have enough trinket boxes :-).

But you can also find beautiful decorations for the house like the small plates above and you can even find hair clips...

La Palma El Salvador San Ignacio: The village of San Ignacio has many craft workshops, but this village is also home to the Peñon de Cayahuanca.

This is a huge rock on the top of the mountain that is very popular for rappelling down the cliff side.

This is also a great place for hiking, and because of the altitude of the area, you can see a great variety of birds and plants that you don't see anywhere else in the country.

El Pital: El Pital is actually the highest peak in El Salvador at 2730m above sea level.

Jaguars have been spotted in the here, so be sure to go with a group.

Mountain biking is also gaining popularity in El Salvador and El Pital is a favourite destination for this. El Pital is about 11km from San Ignacio.

Miramundo: Miramundo is a cloud forest high up on the mountain region and so the temperature here is also quite nice!
