Question: Lockers at Comalapa International Airport?

Hi everyone! This is a very nice website on visiting El Salvador. One question I have about the Comalapa Airport is: does it have lockers for storing bags for the day? I have a one-day layover in El Salvador and would like to go exploring without having to take my bags with me. Is this possible? Thank you!

ANSWER:

I consulted with customer service at the Comalapa International airport and they advised me that the airport does not have lockers at this time.

They are working on implementing lockers for their visitors and hope to have them up and running next year.

If you have too much luggage to take around with you, you can also go to the Quality Inn Airport Hotel (about 5 minutes from the airport) and leave your luggage there I believe they have a luggage holding area but I'm not sure if it's only for guests. The hotel's phone # is (503) 2366-0000.
