Travelling to El Salvador by bus, is one of the best and most inexpensive ways to get there!
Several bus lines offer daily trips to and from El Salvador and to other countries in Central America and Mexico.Our trips to Guatemala from El Salvador were on a coach bus, and it was great! We could sleep, talk, eat, tell jokes and look at everything out the window...it was so much fun! And of course our trips back home to El Salvador were the same, a lot of fun for all of us! So if you are thinking about travelling to El Salvador or other Central American countries by bus, you may be in for a treat! Many travellers choose to move around Central America by bus, and for good reasons... this option is inexpensive, and you don't need to worry about airports, driving or anything else... just enjoy the scenery or have a little nap!

TICA Bus (Transportes Internacionales Centroamericanos)- TICA Bus has terminals in San Salvador and they cover all Central American countries including Panama and Tapachula - Mexico
- Their buses are very comfortable and you can feel safe and secure on these bus trips. These bus trips are not full, so you can most likely sit very comfortably and enjoy the view
- First Class option is available and the ticket fare includes an on-board meal

PULLMANTUR Bus- Pullmantur buses connect Guatemala - San Salvador - Tegucigalpa (Honduras)
- These are double-decker buses that are also very comfy and safe to ride
- First class tickets are also available from this company and they include on-board meals
- This bus company also also offers package deals that include return fare and hotel stay

LINEA EJECUTIVA Bus- Linea Ejecutiva is a Salvadorean company that offers all types of land travel services within El Salvador and the rest of Central America
- Their services include VIP travel, Comalapa International Airport pick up, tourist's transport, and everything else related to transportation and tourism
- Some of the travel units they have available are Sedans, SUV's, Pullman buses and more

As you can see, El Salvador is very easy to get to using several different means. The good thing about going by land is that you can see some awesome sights along the way so make sure you have your camera handy. Of course, don't forget to have all your travel documents with you as you will be asked for your passport at the border and may also be required to have a travel visa or a tourist card.
